Hazeldean
Hazeldean, an established neighborhood with historical roots, traces back to the land holdings of I. Irvine, W. Ogilvie, and C. Anderson. Annexed to the City of Strathcona in 1907 and integrated into Edmonton by the 1912 amalgamation, it embodies a rich heritage. Although subdivided early, significant development primarily occurred in the 1950s, shaping its character. Predominantly featuring single-detached homes, Hazeldean also boasts a sizable row housing complex from the 1950s to meet rental demands. With Mill Creek Ravine to the east, residents enjoy convenient access to the North Saskatchewan River Valley park system, while local businesses and amenities enrich community life, underscoring its charm and vitality.
