Sifton Park

Situated in the Clareview district, Sifton Park is encircled by major roadways and the Kennedale Ravine to the south, offering a blend of convenience and natural charm. Initially subdivided in 1912 during Edmonton’s early land booms, the area remained largely undeveloped until its annexation by the city in 1961. Despite initial hesitations regarding its proximity to industrial zones, development proceeded after resolutions were reached in 1972, aligning with the Clareview Outline Plan. Residential construction surged in the late 1970s, marking the completion of Sifton Park’s development, complemented by central educational and recreational amenities. Named in tribute to the Honourable Arthur R. Sifton, Premier of Alberta from 1910 to 1917, Sifton Park embodies a rich legacy of community and progress.
