Patricia Heights

Patricia Heights, annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1964, sits west of 156th Street and south of Whitemud Drive, with Patricia Ravine flanking its southern and western boundaries. The ravine offers scenic views enjoyed by many homes in the area. Developed predominantly in the 1960s, Patricia Heights features a mix of low-density single-detached homes and medium-density apartment buildings, with some higher-density apartments concentrated in the northeastern section. Alongside Patricia Heights Elementary School and a small commercial center on 156th Street, residents have convenient access to amenities like the Meadowlark Health and Shopping Centre and West Edmonton Mall. The neighbourhood’s name pays homage to Princess Patricia, granddaughter of Queen Victoria, who relinquished her royal title upon marrying Sir Alexander Ramsay in 1919.
