Ogilvie Ridge

Situated adjacent to the scenic Whitemud Creek ravine in Riverbend’s southeast area, Ogilvie Ridge offers a picturesque residential setting. Formerly utilized for agriculture, the neighborhood blossomed with single-detached residential lots in the early 1980s, followed by multi-family housing in the late 1980s. Its unique topography, seamlessly intertwined with the North Saskatchewan River Valley ravine system, shapes the neighborhood’s character.
Divided naturally by two extensions of the ravine, Ogilvie Ridge features a central park site, serving as a hub for community activities and leisure. Well-planned vehicular circulation, anchored by Terwillegar Drive and Rabbit Hill Road, ensures smooth connectivity to major arterial routes. Complementing this, a network of walkways and bikeways enhances pedestrian accessibility to schools, parks, and transportation hubs. Named in honor of James H. Ogilvie, a respected politician and WWI veteran, the neighborhood celebrates his enduring legacy and contributions to Edmonton’s civic life.
