Menisa

Menisa, nestled within Mill Woods and forming part of the Knottwood community, is one of the 27 vibrant neighborhoods in the area. Originating from the Mill Woods land bank assembled in 1970, the neighborhood was named after Mill Creek and the lush Parkland forest it once housed. Development initiatives by the City of Edmonton commenced in 1971, with residential growth unfolding in Menisa from 1976 onwards, marking its transformation into a thriving residential hub by the decade’s end. Bordered by arterial and collector roadways, Menisa boasts a well-connected layout with pathways enhancing pedestrian and bicycle access throughout. Predominantly featuring single-detached homes, the neighborhood also embraces higher density housing and commercial establishments along its collector roads. At the heart of Menisa lies a bustling multi-purpose school and recreational complex, serving as a focal point for community activities and gatherings.
