Meadowlark Park
In the late 1950s, the Town of Jasper Place, situated just west of Edmonton’s city limits, began developing suburban neighborhoods to offer alternative residential options. Meadowlark Park emerged as one of these communities. Following the annexation of Jasper Place by Edmonton in 1964, Meadowlark Park became one of the city’s newer neighborhoods. Positioned north of 87th Avenue, east of 170th Street, south of 95th Avenue, and west of 163rd Street, the neighborhood features curving streets and a centrally located school and park site. Meadowlark Park predominantly comprises single-detached houses, complemented by medium and high-density residential units like apartment buildings, accounting for over one quarter of all dwellings. Anchoring the neighborhood and its surroundings is the commercial Meadowlark Park Centre, offering a range of medical and retail services. Named after the western meadowlark, a bird species native to central and southern Alberta, Meadowlark Park embodies suburban tranquility and convenience.
