MacTaggart

Situated in southwest Edmonton, MacTaggart stands as a vibrant addition to the Terwillegar landscape, marking its southeast boundary with grace. Planned as part of the Terwillegar Servicing Concept Design Brief, MacTaggart emerged from City Council’s approval of its Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan in 2005, marking the start of ongoing development. Bounded by MacTaggart Road to the north and the Anthony Henday ring road to the south, MacTaggart boasts a diverse housing mix, including single and semi-detached homes, row housing, and low-rise apartments. Set to feature a school and park site in its northeast corner, MacTaggart enjoys proximity to Terwillegar Towne’s commercial amenities along 23rd Avenue, alongside the Leger transit centre and new southwest recreation centre. Named in honor of Sandy Auld Mactaggart, a cherished local figure renowned for his contributions to business, the arts, and education, MacTaggart embodies a legacy of community spirit and progress.
