HighPark

High Park, once part of Jasper Place, joined Edmonton in 1964, marked by its boundaries of 107 and 111 Avenues, and 149 and 156 Streets. Though established in 1912, its true development flourished in the 1950s and 1960s, boasting mainly cozy single-detached houses, especially quaint bungalows. Despite its modest size, High Park offers a convenient layout with streets following a simple grid pattern. Residents enjoy the presence of an elementary school, two parks, and limited yet essential commercial spots along 111 Avenue. Additionally, with proximity to Westmount Mall and the northwest industrial district, locals have easy access to various commercial and employment opportunities. The neighborhood’s name possibly nods to one of two High Parks in northeast England, adding a touch of historical charm.
