Ermineskin

Ermineskin, like many other Edmonton neighborhoods in its vicinity, features winding streets and underwent development primarily during the 1970s and 1980s. While residential areas dominate, the neighborhood also incorporates significant commercial zones, open spaces, and undeveloped land. Housing in Ermineskin varies widely, encompassing single and semi-detached houses, row housing, and both low and high-rise apartments. Although much of the residential construction occurred in the 1970s, ongoing development, including infill projects and intensification, has extended into the early 2000s. Notably, the anticipated “Century Park” revitalization, situated on the former Heritage Mall site, promises a dynamic blend of commercial, office, and residential spaces surrounding a central park, seamlessly connected to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) station. This ambitious project, once completed, will mark Edmonton’s inaugural purpose-built Transit Oriented Development, reflecting the neighborhood’s ongoing evolution.
