Casselman

Casselman, stretching from 144th Avenue north to 153rd Avenue and from 50th Street west to 58th Street, offers a blend of low and medium-density housing, with medium-density units predominating, particularly south of McLeod Road. The neighborhood’s residential fabric took shape primarily in the 1970s and early 1980s, with additional units added in the early 2000s. Nestled on the western side, the expansive 16-hectare McLeod Park provides residents with ample amenity and recreational space to enjoy.
Strategically placed pathways encourage pedestrian mobility throughout the neighborhood, enhancing its walkability and community feel. Named in honor of Frederick C. Casselman, a distinguished figure who made significant contributions to Edmonton’s civic and political landscape, including serving on City Council and as a member of parliament, Casselman pays homage to his enduring legacy and commitment to public service.
