Terra Losa
Terra Losa sits in Edmonton’s western region, south of 99th Avenue and west of 170th Street, neighboring Summerlea, home to West Edmonton Mall. Residential construction peaked in the 1990s and continued into the 2000s. The neighborhood features a notable abundance of commercial spaces along its eastern and western borders, acting as a buffer from the surrounding major roads. Centered around a stormwater management lake and the Frank and Etta Wild Park, Terra Losa’s residential streets and homes provide a unique atmosphere. Unlike many neighborhoods, Terra Losa doesn’t include single-detached homes; instead, low-rise apartment buildings dominate the housing landscape. The neighborhood honors Vittorio “Victor” Losa, an esteemed Italian watchmaker who contributed significantly to Edmonton’s cultural and professional fabric in the 20th century.
