Hollick-Kenyon

Nestled within the Pilot Sound Area Structure Plan in northeast Edmonton, Hollick-Kenyon emerged with its neighborhood plan approved in the early 1990s. Bounded by prominent roadways, including 167th Avenue and 59A Street, its residential development unfolded swiftly during that decade. The neighborhood boasts predominantly single-detached homes, interspersed with multi-family dwellings and complemented by a central school/park site and a scenic stormwater lake in the southwest quadrant. Pedestrian pathways weave through the area, connecting residential pockets with green spaces, while a pipeline corridor doubles as linear park space up north. Honoring aviator Herbert “Bertie” Hollick-Kenyon, known for his Antarctic expeditions, the neighborhood pays homage to his legacy of exploration and aviation prowess, immortalized in Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame.
