Pollard Meadows

Mill Woods, a collection of 27 neighbourhoods in southeast Edmonton, emerged in response to concerns over residential land costs. Pollard Meadows, one of its southeastern neighbourhoods, saw development from the 1970s to the 1990s, with final touches added in the early 2000s. While single-detached homes are present, the neighborhood’s residential landscape also includes semi-detached houses, row houses, and low to mid-rise apartments. The area prioritizes education and recreation, with elementary and junior high schools nestled within a spacious recreational tract. Although devoid of commercial spaces, residents enjoy convenient access to amenities at the nearby Mill Woods Town Centre Mall. Pollard Meadows commemorates Joseph “Frank” Pollard, an influential figure in Edmonton’s industrial and civic spheres during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
