Glastonbury

Set against the backdrop of west Edmonton, Glastonbury is nestled amidst lush greenery, south of Whitemud Drive and west of Anthony Henday Drive, forming part of the Grange area. Its blueprint was first laid in 1990, later refined with the current Glastonbury Neighbourhood Structure Plan in 1998. The community began to take shape in the late 1990s, flourishing predominantly in the 2000s, with an array of single-detached homes dominating its landscape. As an ode to its agrarian past, Glastonbury’s development replaced farmlands with vibrant residential spaces, complemented by a thoughtful layout of arterial roads and a network of looping collectors, promoting seamless connectivity while preserving the serene residential ambiance. Anchored by a central school/park site, Glastonbury fosters community engagement through its open spaces and pathways, offering residents ample opportunities for leisure and recreation. Embracing its namesake, Glastonbury draws inspiration from the historic English monastery, weaving tales of legend and lore into the fabric of its modern-day charm.
